Formthotics are a foot orthotic system made of a specific closed cell, non absorbing, hypo-allergenic polyethylene foam that will dry within minutes of use. These orthotics are heat moldable, taking no more than 5-10 minutes for the complete custom process. The design features of formthotics incorporate all the elements of biomechanical theory. Please follow the instructions on how to fit them in order to achieve uniformly good results.
Simple and convenient.
There is a model and density of Formthotic to suit each individual, type of footwear and activity.
Densities:
1. Soft Density: Ideal when the emphasis is on comfort while also giving support. Great for children, the elderly, people with very low arches or for those that want a Formthotic for standing or walking. Good for diabetic patients.
2. Firm Density: The original density used for the Blue Formthotics. Ideal support for use in most sports.
3. High Density: Generally used when the emphasis is on supporting the foot in a particular position and “controlling” movement. Hard Formthotics should only be used by experienced footcare clinicians.
4. Dual Density. Comes with a firm (blue or black) base and a softer top layer (red or beige). Support and comfort are virtually guaranteed and these are rapidly becoming the most popular Formthotics. Ideal for general use and for active diabetic patients.
