Ultraflex is the only maker of custom orthotic solutions that address gait deviations with adjustable dynamic response (ADR) component technology.
In contrast to conventional orthoses, adjustable dynamic response technology addresses stance support at both the knee and ankle dynamically. Ultraflex minimizes compensations while allowing for a more normal knee-ankle-foot biomechanics such as knee flexion and ankle-foot roll-over. Also, UItraflex maximizes speed at a reduce energy cost.
Ultraflex technology allows for increased stability in the early phases of rehabilitation and less restriction of available muscle use in the latter phases. Patients and therapists appreciate both the versatility and cost savings our intervention affords.
Indications: Gait training for stroke rehabilitation (forced limb use programs). Lower extremity weakness requiring a double action or floor reaction ankle-foot orthosis.
Specifications: Bars - 3/16 by 3/4 2024 aluminum bars standard, 1/4 by 3/4 2024 and stainless steel bars available. Bars are compatible with UltraSafeStep for the Knee. Patients up to 220 lbs. (Bilateral) or 175 lbs. (Unilateral) with fair or better cognition. Joints do not come in pairs, are left-right specific and made from stainless steel.
